Susanna Henighan joined the Rotary Club in 2006. She was first invited to a Rotary Club meeting by Valerie Georges-Thomas, and David Baldwin was her sponsor.

Susanna's background is newspaper journalism, but since 2003 she has worked in the Deputy Governor's Office as a communications officer. She is also the author of a Moon Handbooks travel guide book to the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, and is in the process of writing another Moon guide to her home state of Tennessee.

Susanna is married to Amarro Potter, and her birthday is September 28. Though an avid reader of fiction, she recommends the non-fiction work Mountains Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder to her fellow Rotarians. The book profiles the founder of a successful medical outreach program in Haiti, and is an inspiring story of service above self.

Susanna would like to help the club in the areas of literacy and environmental education, among other.
