Rotarian Profile: Roger Downing

Past President Roger Downing says he has been a Rotarian for so long, he can't remember the year he joined, although he reckons it was during the 1970s.
Roger was president in 1980-81 (and held other offices over the years, but again can't recall the details), and his favorite Rotary memory was starting and producing the Rotary Fashion Show. Roger was first invited to a Rotary meeting by the late Cyril Romney, who also sponsored his membership.
Roger says he would most like to help the club in the area of the environment. Roger, a professional architect, is married to Dr. Jana Downing, and they have two sons. His birthday is June 25.
