The rave reviews are still pouring in for the first-ever local Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) training held Sept. 27-28 on Tortola. The event was spearheaded by PP Mary Finley-Jones.

A total of 27 Rotarians completed Parts 1 and 2, while four people completed Part 3. Those people who completed Part 3 were President Stephanie (RCRT), VP Nigel Bailey, PE Leroy Moses and Dir. Angela Burns (RCRT).

There were six discussion leaders, including PP Mary, Rtn. Monica Ramjeet, DGN Diana White (St. Thomas), ADG Don Thomas (St. Thomas), Rtn. Roger White (St. Thomas), and the Vice President of RLI, Gary Israel, from the United States.

DGN Diana expressed her satisfaction with the weekend: "From our Friday arrival to Monday departure, I had an enjoyable time and I was extremely proud to be a part of such an enthusiastic and dedicated group of 7020 Rotarians. Judging by the evaluations and the comments received, I believe we can all consider it a success.

"It is much to expect of everyone to give up an entire weekend to Rotary, and particularly to be in a class! I hope this has given you a renewed passion for Rotary and all that can be achieved through the organization," Diana concluded.

Kudos to PP Mary and all the Rotarians who took part for making this first-ever local RLI training a great success.
