On World Polio Day, the Rotary Club of Tortola invited its sponsored schools to participate and raised awareness by asking them to dedicate the day to Purple Pinkie Day. Students were asked to wear the colour red. Children obtained permission from their parents and guardians and donated $1.00 to get their pinkies painted purple
