On Saturday, March 13, 2010 Rotarians turned out at the college to help with the Mangrove Boardwalk repairs and maintenance.

Whilst there was no announced competition in lifting and labouring with the wooden planks, one Rotarian outstood them all.  The sole female present at the boardwalk silencing the mind of co-ordinator of the project, Rotarian Jonathan McCarthy, who at an earlier meeting and in light of flagging support of the 4-way sign painting project, gested at the prospects of having only "real men" show up for the Boardwalk Project.  It turned out that the real man on the job that day was a woman, (PE) Lorna Smith was hence awarded "Player of the week" as dubbed by Rotarian Jonathan, for the arduous task of maintaing the work flow even whilst others rested during the project.

By composition, a man may be more suited for lifting heavy material, but PE Lorna stood ably beside President Leroy and other Rotarians, assisting them in manouevering heavy, wooden planks and carrying them to various locations along the boardwalk where the planks were to be laid. Rotarian Jonathan commended PE Lorna for her consistent labour  even when others were resting for the duration of the boardwalk project.

Present at that project, also, were Rotarian Dr. Orlando Smith, past President Percy Rhoden and Rotarian Henry Creque.
