Pirates Concert a success

The concert held on May 08 at Myett's in Cane Garden Bay raised $6,000 for the Rotary Club of Tortola's Haiti School Fund.
The concert by entertainer Michael "Beans" Gardener was one of several held in a continued series of fundraising efforts to raise $100,000 to build and equip a school in Ile a Vache, Haiti.
The Haiti School project is being undertaken in partnership with the Rotary Club of Les Cayes, Haiti, and the Good Samaritan Foundation. When the new school is built, it will provide free education to the children of La Hatte, a village on the island of Ile a Vache, off the southern coast of Haiti.
The concert on St. Thomas is scheduled for June 27.
