What a shock and a loss!  Big Brother loved Rotary and was always keen to get his annual 100% attendance. Until the last couple years he was ever present on our festival float, and in the early days dressed in drag for our annual Christmas concerts.

You could always count on him to be at various events once he was well and supported club activities generously. He attended numerous Rotary International Conventions and PAG Audley and I, PPs Clarence Christian, and Amanda Scatliffe, both of blessed  memory, PP Bernard Penn others had the pleasure of being with him to most of those Conventions the first of which   was in Rome. Big Brother was also a frequent attendee of District Conferences. Among other things, Alvin was  an exceptionally skilled Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Operator and Tradesman and Businessman. He was the “Go To Man” when others could not handle a tricky excavation, blasting job or mechanical job.

He was also a great story teller  and much more.

We were very delighted to see him last Thursday. And we will miss him dearly. Condolences to Miss Enid and the rest of the family. RIP Big Brother!
