GSE Team Preparing for Virginia Trip

A four-member Group Study Exchange team from the BVI is preparing to depart for Virginia on September 25. The delegation is being led by Rotary Club of Road Town member Yvonne Crabbe.
The delegation members are Kaisa Penn of the BVI Government's Human Resources Department; Al-Quamin Nibbs of Morgan and Morgan Trust; Curtis Davis of Roadtown Wholesale Trading Ltd.; and Mia Wattley of Codan Trust Company BVI Ltd. The delegation will make vocations visits to local businesses; meet with government officials; visit historical and cultural sites; make presentations about the BVI and their professions; and volunteer for service projects. They will stay with Rotarian host families.
"The GSE programme is designed to develop professional and leadership skills among young adults, so that they can address the needs of their communities and an increasingly global community," Ms. Crabbe said.
The BVI GSE team will be in Virginia from September 25 to October 25. The objective of the GSE programme is to provide travel grants for young, non-Rotarian professionals that will allow them to "experience the host country's institutions and way of life, observe their own vocations as practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas."
