Dr. Karl Dawson - President of the H.LStoutt Community College was the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Tortola's Weekly Luncheon.

Dr. Dawson gave an endearing speech about the "Race for a Cause", which is a race that would be held by the College in conjunction with the Rotary Clubs in the BVI to raise the awareness level of Breast Cancer. This race which will be on Nov 13^th, 2010 is not only about awareness but also bringing people to action to try to find possible cures for the disease.

He highlighted the fact that in the BVI, we seem to not engage a meaningful dialogue about this and other afflictions and the College will be embarking on a TV Programme tentatively entitled "Cancer Conversation" where fruitful dialogue would be encouraged to further disseminate information about the disease throughout the community.

The Race for a cause is a fund raising event with the hopes of exceeding $10,000.00 in donations.
