The BVI Rotary Family received 5 boxes each containing 12 units for a total of 60 Water Filters from AquaBox for distribution to the BVI Community.
Information on the use and benefits of the water filters was shared with Presidents of the BVI Rotary Clubs for further circulation to members who were encouraged to identify potential beneficiaries of the water filters and assist with the distribution.
Demonstrations on the use and benefits of the filters were done with representatives of the Family Support Network, as well as with 3 different groups on three separate occasions, as follows: A small gathering of the BVI Family of Rotary, the Rotaract Club of Tortola and the Rotary Club Sunrise of Tortola. The lead on the project was Rotarian Finfun Peters who conducted demonstrations to use the water filters.
Distributions were made to the BVI Family Support Network (FSN) which exists simply to help families in need. Recipients of the Aqua Filters – Clients of this none profit organization. Rotarians also identified and distributed to individuals they identified in need of the water filters.
