Earth Day Joint Clean-Up and Tree Planting

Good Day Fellow Rotarians,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to join us in Eleuthera for our joint Rotary Club of South East Nassau (RCSEN) and Rotary Club of Eleuthera Earth Day clean-up and tree-planting.  Growing out of the first Earth Day in 1970, the mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide, all year long. Rotary International shares an interest in protecting our common legacy: the environment.  We are committed to supporting activities that strenghten the conservation and protection of natural resources, advance ecological sustainability and foster harmony between communities and the environment.   

In this vein, we are looking for volunteers to join us at the Cancer Society in Palmetto Point next Saturday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  We hope to enjoy a day full of service, and a weekend full of fellowship and fun.  For Rotarians in Nassau, Bahamasair offers both morning and evening flight options departing Friday, April 22 returning Sunday, April 24.  For accomodations, Unique Village is offering special rates for both nights.  Transfers to/from the airport and venue will be shared amongst interested persons.  Please contact myself or a member of the Community Service Committee to express your interest and get more details on logistics.
