Salvation Army says thank you

Major Lester Ferguson made a special presentation to the club for their 2nd place finish in the Salvation Army's Bell Ringing competition held during December 2009. Accepting the award on behalf of the club was P.E. Karen Pinder.

According to Major Ferguson, the Salvation Army is so grateful for the efforts of Nassau Sunrise and the assistance they've provided. He said that the club's 2nd place contribution was approximately $1917.16. He said that the Salvation Army is able to assist those persons with needs because of the assistance of many corporate partners and individuals in the community. Additionally, a number of persons are experiencing economic hardship at this time in our country so there has been an increase in the number of persons requiring assistance. However, the Salvation Army does not discriminate who they provide assistance to.
