The Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise made a significant donation of more than $55,000 worth of learning aids, audio visual and digital equipment to the College of The Bahamas Hilda Bowen Nursing and Health Sciences Library as a gesture to support student learning and research. The Rotary Club thought it would be appropriate to make a donation which focuses on nursing education because of its importance to the overall health and well-being of all Bahamians," explained Mr. Felix Stubbs, Assistant District Governor for Rotary in The Bahamas. The items donated included laptop computers, digital cameras, DVD portable players and various instructional DVDs on Physical Examinations, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Maternity and Pediatrics, Psychiatric Mental Health and Electrocardiography. It was a warmly welcomed gift as access to information and expanding knowledge are integral to the mission of The College. Information courtesy of Office of Communication College of the Bahamas.
