Downtown Revitalization Project

As Bahamians we must take ownership of the revitalization efforts and do our part in helping to make downtown special. Our guest speaker - Managing Director of the Downtown Nassau Partnership (D.N.P.) Mr. Vaughan Roberts - shown at left with Terez Simmons (member).

There is so much potential for the downtown area to be transformed into something special for our visiors as well as Bahamians. Bay Street and Woods Rodgers Walk will be the number one attraction in the region. The D.N.P. is making tremendous strides in this regard. Members of the committee have strategically been chosen because of their commitment to this project. However, all Bahamians must support the effort for this wonderful vision to be realized. Artists will play an integral role in this exercise. It is also hoped that the Chamber of Commerce will encourage a new wave of entrepreneurship for the development of the area. There will be programs established to draw persons to the area once the project is completed.
