Our Rotary changeover was held on Saturday 22nd June at 2pm at the Charlotteville Club House. The event was a huge success and we had attendees of 75 persons.
 
We enjoyed a cocktail hour from 2pm to 3pm with drinks, snacks and game playing. The changeover meeting started at 3:15pm and was chaired by past president and founding member Bill Thompson. Past District Governor Barry Rassin was the speaker and informed attendees of how important it is to have our family support in Rotary. He shared from his own personal experience that he would not have been as successful in Rotary and able to dedicate as much time, without his family being as understanding and supportive of his passion for Rotary. Past President Andrew thanked his board for all the assistance of his Rotary year 2008-09 and stated that his year would not have been much a success without his able bodied Secretary Yvette Bethel who was especially thanked with a gift. Past President Andrew, also made another special presentation to Coretta Owen for "Rotarian of the Year" for the outstanding and motivational roles she has shown through Rotary since joining in January 2009. Past Assistant District Governor Richard McCombe conducted the induction of the New President for the year 2009 2010. Newly elected President Carla Stubbs gave a special thanks to Past President Andrew Pike and to all the past presidents of the Club who were in attendance "Bill Thompson, Billy Mills, Felix Stubbs, Jacqueline Bain, Diana-Lynn Miller and Effie Burrows." President Carla introduced her new board for 2009 2010 Special thanks were given by President Carla to all persons attending and thanks to the persons who made the event possible: - Bertha Go-Go ribs (For preparing the meal) - Jose Ageeb (For the music) - Mr. Rahming & Mrs. Miller (For the professional servers assistance) The meeting ended at 4:45pm with a reminder for "All Hands on Deck" for the coming year and for persons to be prepared to work and participate in the many Rotary events for 2009 2010.
