Art in the Bahamas

According to Mr. Murray, art is a profession requring the individuals who are a part of it to work and produce daily. Artists have a responsibility to move things forward and they play an integral role in the development of a nation. It's an exciting time for art in the Bahamas as the industry is growing and developing. Bahamians are taking a greater interest in the various art forms i.e. paintings, photography, plays, concerts, etc. This is evident by the success of the recently held Shakespare in Paradise which required performances by numerous artists at various locations around the Bahamas.
