On Saturday, August 15, 2026, members of the Rotary Club of Nassau (RCN) proudly supported the Junior Achievement (JA) Alumni Association's Fun Run/Walk as part of RCN’s “Walk to Support” Wellness Initiative.

The initiative encourages our members to prioritize health and wellness while supporting community events that make a positive difference in The Bahamas.

The JA Alumni Association Fun Run/Walk brought together alumni of the JA business-focused training programme to raise support for investing in and empowering the next generation of Bahamian economic leaders.

RCN was proud to support this initiative, advancing Rotary’s avenues of service  by promoting healthy lifestyles and helping to grow local economies through the continued development of young entrepreneurs and leaders.

On July 25th, RCN (Rotary Club of Nassau) connected with REA (Rhonda Eyes Alliance) at one of their fundraising events in Miami, Florida.

REA is our international partner for our club's annual Eye Health and Wellness Event - Vision/Health Expo.  

This organization donates all the eyeglass frames for our event and assists us with the purchase of prescription lenses.

We were very happy to support REA's fundraising event and show appreciation for their partnership.

Our meeting this week was a Celebration!

One of our longest serving members - Past President Joan Pinder - who has been reliable, dependable and supportive to almost every Past President in our club, was blessed with the presence of Rotarians from RCN and other clubs, as well as former students and colleagues from COB; they all hold the utmost respect for her.

PP Joan was showered with words of appreciation - praises, gratitude and kind compliments. Her dedication to Service Above Self was highlighted by all.

The most heartwarming surprise was an online appearance by her son, John - zooming in from California.

The Celebration was topped off with the presentation of a self portrait and a birthday cake as Joan celebrated a birthday this week.

Many clubs informally treat "will it be fun?" as an extra rule alongside the traditional four way test.

We at RCN are one of those clubs!
At our recent Signature Social Event, we embodied that extra rule. We were joined by friends, family members and prospective club members.

It was truly an evening of fellowship, connecting and having fun!

Will it be fun?! Yes it will!✨️✨️✨️

This past weekend, Rotarians and friends from across the district came together in an act of service for the benefit of school aged children throughout the community.

One of our club's members - Rotarian Sabrina, along with her grandson Aiden, spoke of the wonderful experience volunteering as we supported  Bahamas Striping Group of Companies' school supplies packing initiative.  According to Rtn. Sabrina, it was amazing to work alongside fellow RCN members, Interactors, and other Rotarians to support students in our community.

"We followed the spirit of Rotary’s Four-Way Test, and our bonus 5th test was: “Will it be fun?” The answer was a definite YES, it was!"....Rot. Sabrina.

From packing supplies to sharing laughs and building connections, it was a rewarding day filled with teamwork, service, and joy. Thank you to everyone who helped make this initiative such a success.

Service Above Self to - Create Lasting Impact.

Our second meeting of the New Rotary Year was all about Goals, Objectives and the way forward.

President Francina thanked the outgoing President for a job well done and the members for putting their trust in her to lead the club for this Rotary year.

She presented her vision and goals for the club and mapped out how she seeks to accomplish those goals.

Directors also presented for their various portfolios, outlining their goals and objectives.

Another successful meeting as we embrace this new Rotary year!
