President Mike Murphy, along with members of the Rotary Club of Ventura County, accept awards

It is a pleasure and honor to announce that due to your outstanding work during this past year, the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks was awarded by Rotary District 5240 the following prestigious awards: (1) RI Presidential Citation Gold, (2) District 5240 Gold Achievement Metal Award, (3) District 5240 Best Large Club International Award, and (4) District 5240 Best Large Club Award and Bell.

The District 5240 Best Large Club Award and Bell that was awarded to our club was produced and built by members of our club.  Past Club President and Past District Governor Felix Masci commissioned it as an official award for District 5240. He presented it to the district when he was district governor so it could be given as a annual District 5240 award each year.  PDG Felix Masci's official district governor's seal is attached to the top of the bell platform.

On July 7, 2016 the bell on top of the award will be used by President Robert to start his first club meeting and every weekly club meeting thereafter during his year. It is great to have this award back home with our club again.

Thank you for all of your hard work during Rotary Year 2015 to 2016 in helping out with our club projects so we could assist those persons in need here in our community and worldwide to promote world peace. Literally thousands of people are living happier and better lives because of you. You have brought great honor to our club through your generosity and kindness.

We look forward to seeing all of you at President Robert's first weekly club meeting on July 7th. Have a great weekend.
