Guest Speaker: Colleen Zander, Student of the Month, South Sa-Hali Elementary

New Member: Mike Forbes' guest, Tom Calne, developer and general contractor is our newest member.  Welcome Tom!

Club Minutes . . .

 
  • Club Elections - to be held next week, November 27, 2007.  Randy Patch, President; Mike Dedels, President-Elect; 4 director positions are available.  
  • BC 150 Year grants: Gordon Swan, Assistant Governor for District 5060, Kamloops region announced that BC 150 Year grants - up to $10,000 / grant to celebrate BC's 150th Anniversary.  Projects can be in the areas of Heritage, Community, Multiculturalism, Aboriginal Peoples, and Arts and Culture.  Applications close in August 2007 . . . Gordon encourages us to partner with other organizations in our community to create projects celebrating our beautiful province.

  • Operation Red Nose: Stephen Karpuk has confirmed December 1 as our date for Operation Red Nose.  He will have more information at the Nov. 27th meeting. Please be ready to offer your help and support.  FMI: email Stephen at bcchiro@gmail.com.
  • Business Cards - Guest Invitations: Reg has ordered business cards for those who have requested them.  The reverse of the card is a Guest Invitation.  Please use these freely . . .
  • Classification Talks / Speakers for 2008:  Please email Mike at mcdedels@shaw.ca if you have NOT done your classification talk (tell us who you are - what you 'stand for' in the world) OR if you have ideas for guest speakers.
  • MegaHockeyPool: Mike Dedels announced that Duffy's Pub would like to be a sponsor for next year's hockey pool.  Mike is already hard at work organizing next year's event . . . keep watching the MegaHockeyPool website for his weekly updates!
  • Strauss Canada Cup: Ted announced that Aurora has signed on to the Strauss Canada Cup, held here in Kamloops in Feb 2008.  Many thanks to Ted for pursuing this!
  • Christmas Party, Dec 12.07: Darren has tickets - $ 25.00 / person.  Location: Chapter's Viewpoint. 
  • Stamp Collecting - Ongoing: Reg continues to collect stamps for a fundraiser for another organization.  Please save all your stamps for him, ensuring a 1/2 inch paper around each stamp or set of stamps.
