November 17th meeting

This week's meeting will be at Nandi's new place : the old chapters viewpoint on Columbia St.  

 

A million thanks to all of you who helped this weekend at the concert at the Rex! 

 

This week will have our student of the month this week, a grade 7 student from Aberdeen elementary.   We will also have a presentation from Operation Red Nose. 

 

Thank you to Carolyn and Sukh for hosting us at the TNRD last week.  We had 2 presentations: one from Developing World Connections about their Mount Kilimanjaro hike and ine from the Shoe Box Project. 

 

As a follow to the shoe box project presentation, if you have any items you would like to donate, please bring them to the meetings. A few of us ( and everyone is invited) will get together at my place the evening of November 26th to put the boxes together. 

 

 

Also, please bring something this week for the basket we are donating to the McQueen Lk fundraiser.  The theme is Chocolate! Think chocolate bars, chocolate cookies, chocolate wafers, chocolate wine ( yes wine!) chocolate covered nuts, chocolate covered fruit, books on chocolate, hot chocolate mix .... The options are endless!   Kristen is arranging the basket and needs to be ready by our nov 24th meeting. If you rather donate some money towards this, we will do the shopping for you.
