Our speaker was David Sakaki, local firefighter  and humanitarian. He told us about  their projects in Nicaragua and helping out in India and the Philippines. Locally, the firefighters get together weekly  to sort through donations and get the containers of supplies for the next shipment to Nicaragua.  Medical equipment is always needed.

Christopher Seguin, past president of the Rotary Club of  Kamloops came by to  talk to us about the Rotary Family Dinners. This is a great initiative that allows families in our community a night out. Dinners are held at Norkam Secondary. Our club will host the dinner on February 25th.  If you can come out to help, let Dorys  know.   We will need  a couple of helpers at 4, with the rest of teh helpers needed 4:30-6:30.
