September 22, 2008: Our speaker is Marilyn Hysen of Michigan Citizens For Stem Cell Research & Cures , who will speak about Stem Cell Research, a very important topic this year.

Amendments to the By-laws:

Amendment #1

Dissolution of the Club: Should the Howell Rotary Club Board of Directors recommend that the club dissolve, the Board of Directors would then send a notice of this dissolution to all club members noting the time and date of the vote.  The mailing/email to all club members must be at least ten (10) days before the set meeting date to vote on the dissolution of the club.  At the meeting where such vote is taken a quorum must be present, by a two-thirds vote of all members present.

Congratulations to our new Paul Harris Fellows: Jim Gilligan and Carol Griffith.  Both have led our club to greater activity in the community and to greater service.  The lunch bunch is pretty much over, thanks to the outstanding leadership of Jim and Carol.
