Money: Members of the club are being assessed $25 for a contribution for the Walk for Warmth and for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.  These are both worthy organizations that we have supported for many years. 

Antiques Appraisal: Jeri McKeon Andersen wants to remind the members that the Antiques Appraisal will be Saturday, May 14, from 10-2.  We are charging $10 for one item and $15 for two.  Last year we had 80 items that were appraised, one of which was a painting worth about $120,000.  Jeri will be distributing a sheet for volunteers to help on that day.  Please sign up.  We need your help!  This fundraiser really helps to provide money for our club.

Gas Prices: I stopped in Stockbridge for gas on Saturday.  It was $1.99 but in Howell it was $2.13!  That is 14 cents per gallon for the privilege of having Howell gas!

Congratulations to Mrs. Klausing from Highlander Way Middle School for being named Middle School Science Teacher of the year.  It is an honor for her and also an honor for the Howell Schools to have her on the staff. 
To TJ Hensick of the U of M hockey team for being named to the first team All-Conference CCHA team.  TJ is a Howell High School graduate and grandson of former Rotarian Bert Hensick.

St. Patrick's Day will bring us our annual treat from Don Williams, who will sing "Molly Malone" today. 

It also brings us another story: An Irish priest is driving to New York and is stopped for speeding.  The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car. He says, "Sir, have you been drinking?"
"Just water," says the priest.
The trooper says, "Then why do I smell wine?"
The priest looks at the bottle and says, "Good Lord!  He's done it again!"
