KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK September 25, 2010
The annual District Foundation Gala is scheduled for Saturday, September 25th. This two part program includes a Tigers v Twins baseball game at Comerica Park.
Blood Drive Challenge! The Brighton Rotary Club seems to be a little challenging lately! They're holding a blood drive on Monday, September 27th, 10 a.m.-3:45 p.m., at the Brighton Community Center (555 Brighton St., S. of Washington St.) All county-wide Rotaries are invited to participate. The club with the largest % of members participating wins the challenge. To make an appointment call 1-800-Red Cross, sponsor code: Rotary Clubs. Appointments are recommended.
Upcoming Programs. If you have an idea for a great program to bring the club, please let Jeanne Clum know. Shoot her an e-mail at jclum@lcunitedway.org. We have a few openings in October yet to be filled.

Happy Anniversary to Steve Maynard and his wife 47 yrs. of marriage
An awesome announcement from John Hubell; almost one year to the date that he left the hospital not being able to walk John crossed the Mackinaw Bridge Labor Day Weekend WAY TO GO JOHN!
Duane Zemper reminded us that Thursday Sept. 23, 2010 (same day as golf outing that we need golfers for) will be the Autumn Equinox on which we can set eggs up and they will balance. Duane brought in a picture in which he had about a half a dozen eggs standing up.
Robert Laura was the presenter he spoke to us about retirement trends and what to expect in the future.
