Today, October 9, 2006: Jay Drick is the program chair. Jay has not told us about what kind of program he is planning, but he normally has something trivial (sometimes interesting trivia) up his sleeve.
Next Week: Pat Convery has invited Don Chisholm, former Rotary governor, who will give a quick review of the Rotary Foundation. Don will focus on the National Immunization Day program that he participated in Mali, Africa.
October 23rd, Stan Latreille has invited Melissa Scharrer, the Livingston County Friend of the Court. This court enforces child support orders and conducts custody and parenting time investigations.
No one would have foreseen the Tigers whipping the mighty Yankees in three straight games and advancing to the American League playoffs. It is like thinking that a Studebaker would outrace a Cadillac. Congratulations to the Tigers and for the excitement they have brought to us.
As predicted, Michigan beat State in another in-state rivally. Cheers to all the Old Blues.
Stu Christian announced that he is taking a leave of absence from the Club because of ill health. Be sure to send Stu a note of encouragement. We will miss him.
