Monday, May 9, 2005: There is a Club Assembly today following lunch and conversation.
Millage: As we know, the Millage for school enhancement failed. Even though the millage would end in three years, voters are sceptical about going back to any form of property tax. All they are saying is for schools to meet the budget, just as homeowners do.
Did you know that in some states, developers must set aside land for schools and contribute Impact Fees to improve the roads, fund the jail, and to help the community?
"42nd Street": Remember to support the local community theater. This weekend and next, Howell Community Theater is presenting 42nd Street, with great songs such as "Lullaby of Broadway" and "I Only Have Eyes for You."
Antiques Roadshow: This coming weekend is Howell Days, and one major event is Rotary's Antiques Roadshow. Because of such high demand, the appraiser is staying an extra hour. This promises to be an exciting program. If you have not volunteered to help, come to see the event. It is not golf, but it is fun.

A. Salt, pepper, mustard, and vinegar.
Q. Explain one of the processes by which water can be made safe to drink.
A. Flirtation makes water safe to drink because it removes large pollutants like grit, sand, dead sheep, and canoeists.
