Today we welcome Erica Karfonta, the Manager of Operations for Gleaners Community Food Bank of Livingston.  Gleaners has about 45 regular staff members that work at five distribution centers in SE Michigan.  It has two staff people and 75 volunteers at the Livingston County agency.

Pat Convery was presented with Michigan Chamber Professional Award by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Executives.  This award is given to those who have achieved specific educational and training goals.  Congratulations to Pat!

At the Club Assembly last week, we had several topics:
1.  The treasury has $4030.
2.  The Club is giving $600 for tsumani relief to the island of Granada along with the Sunrise club and Brighton.
3.  We also are giving $400 to the Walk for Warmth (OLSHA).
4.  We will also give money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and our bowling team, featuring Tom Lawrence, Jay Drick, and Mike Hall, who will be on hand at Striking Lanes on March 13th.
5.  We have re-formed the Fundraising Committee to find other means to raise money for community service.  Jay headed that committee two years ago that came up with Antiques Roadshow.
