Today, October 3, 2005: Our speaker today is Eileen Heasley, who will talk on the following subject: "Clean Water - the Rotary International Sand Filter Program."
Events: Next Saturday, October 8th, will be a work day for Rotarians who choose to serve their community. Peter has a good number of Interact members who will work alongside Rotarians to clean up the gazebo at the West Street Park. It involves some painting and staining so wear appropriate clothing.Â

Football: Our esteemed Sergeant of Arms has already proclaimed that the "Losers" of the annual Michigan-MSU football game "will pay."  For the second consecutive year, this game went to overtime. And that means it was an exciting, perhaps thrilling, game. The good Spartans of our club are undoubtedly disappointed because State played so hard and the game was so close. The Wolverines are still smiling.Â
Comedy Club: The news is that Chemung Hills is planning to host a comedy club starting in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, the residents will support this entertainment. It beats driving 30-40 miles for such an event.
Road Work: It is not over yet. As we breathe, work on M-59 between Byron and Grand River is happening. It is just a re-surfacing, but the traffic jams will be significant.
