Today, May 4, 2009: Candy Jones-Guerin's first Rotary program is entitled "Crash Course."

May 11: We will have lunch at Howell High School and honor the Top Ton and award our Interact Club.  Be sure to note the change of location.

May 18 : Ron Hingst's program is "Racing for Kids."

May 25:  NO meeting.  Memorial Day.

Bill Earl has endured a heart attack, four by-passes, a stroke, and brain surgery to relieve the blood clot on his brain.  Rotary wished Bill a speedy recovery, but individual members are encouraged to send him a card to cheer him on.

Kim Dane reports "I feel better every day.  Therapy is painful but I'm making progress!  I hope to see you all May 11th."

1.  Because they had no reservations at a busy restaurant, my elderly neighbor and his wife were told there would be a 45-minute wait for a table.  "Young man, we're both 90 years old." the husband said.  "We may not have 45 minutes."  They were seated immediately.

2. Smith climbs to the top of Mt. Sinai to get close enough to talk to God.  Looking up, he asks the Lord, "God, what does a million years mean to you?"

The Lord replies, "A minute."

Smith asks, "And what does a million dollars mean to you?"  The Lord replies, "A penny."

Smith asks, "Can I have a penny?"

The Lord replies, "In a minute."
