Today, June 6, 2005. This is D-Day when the Allies invaded France in 1944, some 61 years ago. We all owe a tremendous debt to all those who fought and especially to those who died in this invasion.
Today's speaker is Sara Thomas, director of the Livingston County Land Conservancy. With the constant pillage and destruction of land in the county, the Conservancy serves a vital role in preserving the beauty of open space. Sara spoke to us several years ago, but her message is always important.

Pancake Breakfast. It is Balloonfest time again. We need your help for our other big fundraiser, the Pancake Breakfast. We need flippers, greeters, kitchen help, servers, and people on the cafeteria floor wiping tables and helping keep the place tidy. We need YOU!

Cheers! One, to Kim Dane who was honored by Tanger Outlet Center for "overall excellence in both the operations and marketing of the facility." It should be noted that the Outlet Center had more than 3 million shoppers in 2004.
Two, to Catherine Ray Dunning who is one of two Livingston County women of Distinction! The Girl Scouts of Huron Valley Council presented this award to Catherine for her many contributions and activities in the county.
ANNUAL DINNER is Monday, June 20 at 6:30 at the First National Bank community room.
PICNIC at West Street Park in the Rotary Pavilion at Noon on June 27. BE THERE!
