Today, June 4, 2007: Mindy Arnold (Howell downtown Main Street) and Norm Boes (Bankers Square condos) are speaking today on "Howell's Main Street and the Downtown Ice Rink."  This should be a very interesting program.  An ice rink?

June 11: Jeff Blagg is the program chair.

            - Rotary Board meets at 1 p.m.

June 18: Today we meet at the West Street Park (which is between Grand River and Riddle Street on West Street) for our annual picnic.  Last year we dedicated trees for deceased former members.

            - Fundraising Committee meets.

June 25: The New Officer Luncheon will meet at the Howell Opera House at Noon. A sign-up sheet will be passed at today's meeting. It's important that we get a head count soon. Please check your calendar in advance and let us know if you and hopefully your spouse will be attending. Committee Chair and incoming president Ron Hingst and his committee are working hard to make this a memorable event!

Fridays in Howell can be fun when you attend the band concerts at the Court House.  Bring a lawn chair and enjoy conversing with your friends, neighbors, and others and listening to some very good bands.  Best of all, the concert is FREE!

While we were away, the following happened:

a)  School ended for the Class of 2007.  Congratulations, Seniors!

b)  The Red Wings were eliminated from the hockey playoffs.  Does anyone know which teams are playing for the Stanley Cup?

c)  The Pistons were also eliminated from playoff contention.

d)  Clinton Street opened up.  It really looks good.  Nice job!

e)  M-59 is expanding.  There are two new lanes being built as we speak.
