The Howell Rotary Club meets again for lunch on Monday, July 18th at noon in the Community Room in the St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital on Byron Road in Howell.

Our program will feature a presentation about educational opportunities at Interlochen, Michigan.  Candie Jones-Guerin will host this presentation by a representative of Interlochen.  As Candie mentioned last Monday, if you have a child that has in interest in attending Interlochen you might want to bring them to hear this presentation.

The business meeting that was going to be held on the 18th has been moved to the following Monday, July 25th.  At that meeting members will be asked to approve the Club’s proposed budget for 2011-12, the proposed Board membership, and to make commitments for service time at the Day of Caring event held by the United Way on August 17th as well as for arranging Club programs.

Last Monday we heard a presentation by Peter Bowen regarding the Women’s Triathlon being held in Howell on August 7th.  Peter is seeking volunteers to assist with that event so check your calendars   and, if you have some time that Sunday, let Peter know and he’ll give you the proper volunteer form to fill out.

Fun and Game Time!  Mark you calendar for a social gathering of you, your family and your friends on August 31st.  We will gather at the Marion Township Hall around 5:30 and introduce everyone to the interesting game of Disc Golf.  We’ll have a pot-luck picnic after the playing.  The main course and light liquid refreshments will be provided and we’ll ask you to bring a dish to pass.

More details later.
