Club meets Monday, July 11 at 12:00 at the Community Room of the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital – Livingston. Our program will feature a presentation about the upcoming Women’s Triathlon. We are in for an interesting first weekend of August and Peter Bowen will tell us all about it.
Our Rotary District #6380 has launched an online Rotary District Business Directory. You can list your business there, or access business services you may need, at http://www.rotarybusinesses.com.
District Governor Steve Youtz will be visiting our club in the next few months – date TBD. When he visits, it will be his meeting. I know that we’ll all be extra welcoming, will introduce ourselves and will engage with the Governor so that he recognizes the value and quality of our Howell Club.

Mr.B's Joybox Express will be performing in our patio area while Cobb-Hall staff serve up hot-dogs, snacks and beverages and if you are feeling generous you can drop a donation into our fountain to help create change for those who need it most in our community!
During the month of July our fountain will be collecting change donations so that together we can make a big impact for a local non-profit. You can also visit our facebook page to vote for the agency who will receive the donation and Cobb-Hall will be matching all donations up to $2,000!
Cobb-Hall will be the place to be for entertainment and dinner...and then take a stroll down the street for the Friday night Concert at the Courthouse
On the subject of volunteering, please look at your calendar and identify some time slots that you can work at the Howell Rotary Melon Ice Cream sales booth during Melon Fest. We need to cover Friday later afternoon/evening, all day/evening Saturday, and all day Sunday. And we are also selling at the Opera House. Can you do two different shifts? Can you volunteer a family member to help?
Disc Golf anyone? Plans are being developed for Club members and family to enjoy a late afternoon/early evening of disc golf and social time at the newly opened disc golf course located at the Marion Township Hall on W. Coon Lake Rd. An early August date is under consideration. Remember, not everyone can play golf – but everyone can throw a disc!
