The staff at the Howell Carnegie District Library is planning a series of programs this summer called, "I Need to Read".  Each session will feature a local celebrity/person with an interesting job.  There will be time during the program for children to learn about their job, find out what/why they need to read in their job, as well as check out their equipment, gear, etc. hands-on.  Some interesting jobs we may highlight this summer include: doctor, scuba diver, Lugnuts/Baseball player, baker, forensic investigator. If anyone in Rotary is willing or has a friend who is willing to participate contact Kathleen Zaenger or Janice Heilman @ 517-546-0720.

Last Weeks Meeting S.A.V.E. (Serving Adults who are Vulnerable and/or Elderly) Task Force, presented by Laura Quinn of Hartland.  Ms. Quinn is a former attorney for Citizens Insurance, and offered a wealth of knowledge on the topic of senior advocacy. When asked what one should do if they are a witness in a case of abuse she advised us to call 211, adult protective services or local law enforcement.
