Howell Rotary March 1 Bulletin
The Howell Rotary will roar in March like a Lion with a full plate of meeting and activities.
At the Howell Rotary Meeting March 1, Rotarian Ron Hingst will discuss the St. Louis Center, a residential facility for the mentally and physically challenged located in Chelsea, MI and currently celebrating its 50th anniversary.
President Jeff Hansen has scheduled a Tour de Livingston Meeting, 8 am, Friday, March 5TH at the offices of the Howell Chamber. Rotary Helping Hands Welcome!
At our meeting March 8th, Sarge Renae Behr will present the American Red Cross.
On March 10th, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, the Howell Rotary will host its 4th annual Wine & Cheese Event at Howell's Main Street Winery (corner of W. Grand River and Walnut Street in Downtown Howell.) Tickets are $15 a person and proceeds will be used to support the Howell Carnegie District Library literacy programs and the Howell Parks & Recreation youth programs. Jeanne Clum of United Way, Candy Jones-Guerin of LACASA and Pattie Griffith of First National are spearheading the Rotary effort of networking and comradrie, and a heads up on whether you are attending would be appreciated!
Our Ace Keggler Dan Murdock has once again stepped up to the lanes and will captain the Howell Rotary Team for the annual Bowling for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Saturday,March 20th. So, if you can toss a ball down those lanes, please see Dan and pledges are welcome for this worthy event.
Plans continue for the Tour De Livingston 2010, and planning is also in process for the Melon Ice Cream Sale again this summer, so if you are interested in participating, please contact President Jeff or Sandie Cortez.
