Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Independence Day to all Howell Rotarians, and please remember those who continue to serve our country and help us maintain these Free and Independent United States of ours. As is custom, we will not have a meeting on July 2nd in honor of the July 4th Holiday and we will resume Monday July 9th with a Club Assembly. Congratulations to Jim Gilligan, our outgoing president for a job well done, and all the Award Winners, and length of Service Pin Winners at our Annual and President's Lunch at the rennovated Howell Opera House. A Special Thanks to Carol Griffith, Kim Dane and Jeri McKeon Anderson for their hard work in making the Annual Lunch a truly wonderful celebration, and to all those who attended. Club Assembly Monday July 9 We will host a Club Assembly, and we will invite various Committee Chairs to discuss their ideas and plans, and we are interested in what members would like from the Club. So, please bring your ideas and thoughts. 2007-2008 Howell Rotary Programs Kim Dane is busily trying to fill the schedule of programs, so please sign up soon! Upcoming * 4 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, August 15th Livingston Country Rotary Picnic at Howell Park. All Rotary Clubs in the County will combine forces for a late afternoon early evening of fun. Families are welcome, and children under 18 free. There will be games for youngsters, adults and seniors. Each family will be asked to bring a dish to pass, and we will provide burgers and hot dogs. Cost is $5 per member and guest. Day of Caring, Wednesday, August 22 Once again, the Howell Rotary will participate in a Day of Caring, organized by the Livingston County United Way. Please plan to donate a half day to join fellow Howell Rotarians and help out our neighbors in the commmunity.
