SEMCOG Workshop for County Travel Plan
As the organizer and operator of the Tour de Livingston, the Howell Rotary Club has a special interest in promoting cycling. Please join us on September 4th in the Howell Area Carnegie District Library to participate in a SEMCOG Workshop to consider a draft nonmotorized travel plan for the County and Southeast Michigan. The session will be open from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Nonmotorized means walking, bicycling, and other means of getting around that do not involve the use of motorized vehicles.
What are the planners looking for? Do their proposed trails, connections, additions, etc. make sense? Do they connect all the appropriate places? Do they make nonmotorized travel safer? What’s missing?
This is your opportunity to stop in, review the plans, and provide your input. You will be able to speak to the planners and offer informal as well as formal written input.
