eHoweller for Monday August 11, 2014
This week's speaker will be Nick Beard. Nick was our outbound exchange student last year and he will be telling us about his year in Germany.
Rotary Day of Caring. Jesse Parsley is coordinating Howell Rotary volunteers to participate in the 2014 Livingston County United Way’s Day of Caring – Wednesday, August 20. The Howell Rotary Club participates in the morning; but afternoon shifts are available, too. We’re hoping to be placed with Boy Scout Troop 362 who has a big group participating all day. Volunteer sign-up forms will be available at Monday’s meeting and on-line at www.lcdayofcaring.org. Please contact Jesse at Jesse.Parsley@edwardjones.com for more information and to sign up for the event.
Interact Day of Caring. Fellow Rotarians please encourage your children, grandchildren (middle school and High School age), and even your friends or colleagues children to join Patti and Sandie in a day of serving for Day of Caring with the Interact Club. What a great way for us to introduce the benefits of serving in our Community in a fun welcoming way and the benefits of networks etc.. They can even bring friends. This is a great way for us to introduce Interact to others and our love of Rotary and its values. They may have Interact in their schools or they could bring it back to their school as an idea for a future club. We will be working both shifts that day. They could work both morning and afternoon or pick whichever one fits their schedule. For further information please contact Sandie at 517-204-6866 or sandie@fipprint.com.
