Howell Rotary News - 12-23-10
Members of the Howell Rotary Club and their guests thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful Christmas program performed by the Howell High School Highlander Chorale. Approximately 90 people attended Monday's program at the beautiful Howell Opera House. This was the 78th year that HHS students sang at the annual Howell Rotary holiday program! What a tremendous tradition - we're honored to showcase the tremendous talent of our young people.
Through 'passing the hat' Howell Rotary members donated $1450 to Livingston County United Way's Triple Money Monday! Wow - great job once again, team! All donations were tripled in value on Monday with focus on local basic need programs serving area residents.
In honor of the holidays, there will be no meeting on December 27th. May you each take the time to find the peace and purpose of the season, and enjoy special times with family and friends.
On Monday, January 3rd we'll induct two new members - Doris Stromer and Jean Chaffee. It's great to see our club growing and bringing new Rotary family members! Our program will be Kathleen Zaenger's daughter, Samantha, providing an overview of her experiences as an exchange student in Japan.
It's not too late to drive through the Festival of Trees at the Howell City Park.
The holiday display will be up through Christmas Eve.
Wishing you and your families
a very Merry Christmas and
Happy New Year!
See you next year!
