Today August 11, 2008: Julie Smith of LACASA will present their "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes" event that is held on Saturday August 23rd at the Tanger Outlet Center!

The meeting for August 18 is to be at the City Park at the Rotary Pavilion. The City changed their policy and they wanted us to pay $50 to rent the pavilion and $5 per member to enter the park. Kim wrote a letter to City Council and requested they waive the pavilion fee and park entrance fee so that we could meet at the city park and show our newest Rotarians one of the many projects Howell Rotary has completed for the benefit of the community over the past 60 years. We will not know if they waive the fees until after the council meeting that is held tonight. Best we could do, Tom Richardson is out of town on vacation and the city said either we do it the above way or we can't reserve the pavilion. We will have to do this same letter next year. Possible we will send it in May and get pre-approval. They said this is a new process.
