Today, March 31, 2008: Kathy Zaenger and her staff at the Howell District Library will discuss a new program occurring at the library.  Kathy was not originally scheduled; but District Governor Audrey Chevalier had to postpone her talk to us.

On April 7th, the Howell Rotary will be joined by Congressman Mike Rogers, who will honor long time Rotarian and World War II Veteran Duane Zemper. Please note the meeting will be held at the usual time BUT at the Howell Opera House. Cost of the lunch for guests is $10, and members dues will cover their lunch. An RSVP would be appreciated by contacting Ron Hingst at marketing@prservices.com or Kim Dane at kadane@tangeroutlet.com

Livingston Sunrise Rotarians invite you to their lunch meeting on Friday, April 11th  along with Rotarians from Brighton Rotary Club.

The clubs will combine forces and hold their regular meeting for the week jointly at the Brighton Community Center (aka Boy Scout Building - Rotary Building)

The purpose of this meeting is to enjoy the fellowship of the GSE Team visiting from Turkey and experience their presentation to us about their homeland.

The Howell Rotary and Lyon Area Rotary Clubs have also been invited to attend, so make sure you register online so we'll know you are coming. Seating could be at a premium, but do not let that deter you as we want to make our new friends from Turkey see the Rotary spirit here in Livingston County.

There is no charge for Brighton and Livingston Sunrise Rotarians as the cost of your weekly meal is included in your dues. Visiting Rotarians from other clubs and guests will be asked to pay $10.00 to cover the cost of their meal. A delicious Turkey Dinner will be served.

Finally, you won't want to miss the extracurricular activities of the Clubs' Fine Sheriffs: Steve Williams and Mark Marker. Individually they are bad enough; together they are...well, use your imagination.

This will be an event to remember!

Baseball Returns

Los Detroit Tigres, with Cabrero, Ordonez, Rodriguez, Polanco, Renteria, and Guillen headlining a strong Spanish-speaking line-up, start the season today - maybe.  Check outside for the weather report.   Baseball, with its extended season that begins in 40-degree temperatures and ends in similarly cold weather, should be exciting this year.  Perhaps Rotary can plan a night at the ballpark (Tiger Stadium is a name so much better than Bank and Trust Field).
