Howell Rotary News - 4-25-11
wishing you all a blessed, Happy Easter!
The Howell Conference & Nature Center will be our program topic on Monday. Be sure to be there to hear all about this gem in our community - so many programs and activities for all ages.
Trooper Jennifer Hodgson from the Brighton Michigan State Police Post was our guest presenter last week. She gave a great overview of the services available through the State Police, the consolidation of posts and effect on our local post.
April 30th - Interact 5K Run . Lots of help needed - please help support this youth-coordinated event taking place next weekend. Contact Peter Bowen, Sandie Cortez or Patti Griffith for more info.
Thanks to Jeff Hansen and Brent Earl for representing the Howell Rotary so well in LACASA's recent "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes" fundraiser to support local programs for victims of domestic violence. Neither rain, snow, sleet, or dark of night..will stop a well-shoed man from making an impact!
Congratulations to Dr. Chad Conlin for the completion of the recent reconstructive gift he provided to a Livingston County mom. The procedure has taken several months from start to finish and the woman has a whole new look on life. There was a recent article in the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus. Maybe Chad could bring a few copies to share at an upcoming meeting?
Thanks to President Elect Steve Manor who'll be attending the Rotary District 6380 Conference next weekend. He'll be taking lots of Tour de Livingston information to share and will represent the Howell Rotary Club well.
