Our speaker is Chris Oberg, Head Coach of MSU's fencing team.
Fresh off his team's successful performance in the Club National Championships at Clemson University, Coach Oberg will educate us about the team and the history of swords and fencing. He may bring along a member of the team, but is speaking before us on just two day's notice! We found out Friday that our previously scheduled speaker would be unable to attend today.
The Fundraising Committee will meet at 11 am next Monday, April 24 just prior to the Rotary meeting. See Barb Barden

Youth Group Travels to Gulf Coast Over Easter Break
Shalom Lutheran Church will be sending a 4th group of 24 people to Pass Christian, MS to help with rebuilding efforts in the region...this time the youth will be heading south under the direction of Jenn Millspauph, Director of Student Ministry at Shalom. Many of the youth have canceled vacations and will be donating time to help people that have had their lives ripped apart by Hurricane Katrina.
Shalom Lutheran has created Mission Possible to help organize both local and statewide businesses and individuals that want to contribute with needed products or financial support. From these efforts they have sent 2 - 53' trucks filled with food, clothes, blankets and furniture to Gulfport, MS, one of the most devastated areas in the region. The Mission Possible team has coordinated travel and work details for over 150 volunteers to serve in many areas in the Gulf Region. Several team members have been on all 3 trips to date and have amazing stories and videos to share.
