The Howell Rotary Club will meet on Monday, September 12th for lunch at 12:00 in the Community Room at St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital on Byron Rd. in Howell.

Our program will be hosted by Pat Convery and her guest speaker is Dan Glisky.  Dan will inform the Club about the upcoming “Get Healthy Day” scheduled for September 24th from noon to 8:00 at the Howell City Park on Thompson Lake.

At our last meeting we met Julie Accorsi, our Rotary International Exchange Student from France.  Julie used a wall map of France to show the Club the location of her hometown, Aix Les Bains.  It is in southeastern France near the Italian boarder.  Julie is being hosted by Rotary member Sandie Cortez, her husband Don and their whole family.  Welcome Julie and thank you to the Cortez family for hosting Julie.

Jeanne Clum presented the work of the Tour de Livingston organizing committee.  Each activity chair summarized their task(s) and the responsibility of their volunteers.  Jeanne is asking for 100% participation by our club members.  Those who are unavailable to work on Sunday, October 9th can help the week prior to event.  Those earlier tasks include course marking to packing registration packets.

We will spend several minutes this meeting “volunteering” so come prepared!  Be ready to be quick to get the choice jobs.
