On this special occasion, we have the Vice Dean of the faculty of medicine at Lund University, Heiko Herwald, speak to us about blood poisoning.  Besides being Vice Dean of the faculty of medicine, Heiko Herwald holds a professorship in Medical Microbial Pathogenesis as well as in Infectious Medicine. His projects mainly aim to identify and characterize molecular mechanisms that lead to complications caused by bacterial infections.
