BRACENET: Bracelets Made Out Old Fishing Nets

During this Rotary meeting, we will have the pleasure to have Anne and Maja from Bracenet talk to us about their company and mission.

Bracenet aims to rid the oceans of so-called ghost nets. The Pacific Garbage Patch alone, the large garbage vortex in the North Pacific, consists of 46 percent lost or intentionally dumped fishing nets. Together with other marine protection organizations such as Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving, Bracenet recovers the nets worldwide and upcycles them with their team in Hamburg to new products.
