We had a full meeting this morning! We had several visitors today including Becky Smith, Cassie Francis, Ronkot Kothari, and Bill Buffington. We are so glad they chose to spend their morning with us and we hope that they come back to join us again. It's always our pleasure to welcome visitors to our club!
Alice Murphy was inducted by our President, Bruce Dale. Alice is already deeply involved in the town of Trophy Club so we know that she will be a great asset to our club! Welcome, Alice! We are so happy to have you!
New Board Member, Loren Van Roekel gave a "Vocation Talk" so that club members could get to know him better.
Our speaker today was Susan Frank. Susan is the founding director of Hearts for Homes. Established in 2006, Hearts for Homes coordinates with local agencies, churches, elderly service providers and community groups to identify low-income elderly homeowners in need of assistance. Hearts for Homes is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Christian outreach ministry that provides no-cost home repairs to low-income elderly homeowners in Denton County. This organization is volunteer driven that receives funding solely through private donations, foundation grants, and fundraising events.
