We had a fabulous meeting this morning as we welcomed Karl Monger to our club. Karl is the founder and executive director of GallantFew, Inc., a nonprofit helping veterans rediscover hope and purpose. He has served as an airborne Ranger and deployed to Desert Storm. Karl has been a Rotarian since 2003 and is currently a member of Metroport Rotary.
Karl shared with us, the opportunities and supports that are available to veterans as they transition from military service to civilian life. The timing of his visit was perfect as we head into Memorial Day weekend.
Thank you, Karl Monger! We greatly appreciate the time you took out of your day to speak to our club. And thank YOU for our freedom.

Darin Davis took a few minutes to discuss how our club is partnering with Metroport Meals on Wheels. Our club is excited to have the opportunity to deliver water and bags of fruit to their home bound participants to remind them to stay hydrated and cool as the summer heats up. We will be doing this project in June.
