On Friday, our Club welcomed Brandon Board from Community Storehouse. Brandon shared the many things that Community Storehouse offers to low income children in our communities. He also discussed a variety of volunteer opportunities that are available on a daily basis. The vision statement for Community Storehouse is: Closing the gap between opportunity and achievement for the children in our community. We also inducted three new members to our club, which brings us up to 43 members. Alan Deck, Chris Upton, and Jamie Ruten are now Trophy Club Rotary members. We look forward to getting to know them and working with them to make a positive impact in our community.
A few weeks back, we welcomed visitor, Ron Borland from a Rotary Club in Australia. He recently mailed us a flag from his Rotary Club which we will proudly display at our meetings. As Rotarians, it's always interesting to visit other Rotary Clubs when you are traveling. It's a great way to meet other Rotarians and make connections. Each club has their own culture and unique way they operate.
