Our guest speaker Kai Crooks-Chissano is a project design and management specialist, researcher and writer with multi-layered experience in the education, creative and social development sectors.

She has worked at the United Nations, with NGO’s and the private sector, managing, designing, implementing and evaluating programmes, conducting focused facilitation, and strategic planning.

Kai’s passion is education and helping people to find their voice. Working with children and seeing how they grapple with spelling, Kai began research for a PhD in 2019 at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Kai’s talk will be on her research using drama and storytelling to teach children and also using it in change management within corporates. It will be an interactive session sharing her research and telling stories. She also wants your input on ways you may have used to teach children how to spell.
